Who is responsible
MotorMe is a product of Qubin GmbH. Contact for privacy questions: privacy@qubin.de.
This website
The website sets no cookies and shows no advertising. The contact link opens your own email app; we receive only what you write.
Website statistics. We count page views ourselves, without cookies and without storing anything on your device: the page, the website you came from, campaign tags in the link, time on page, scroll depth, clicks on store and contact links, and device type, language and country from what your browser sends anyway. To avoid counting you twice on the same day we build a one-way hash of your IP address and browser with a random value that changes daily, and delete it after two days at the latest. We do not store your IP address, only daily totals (Google Firebase, EU). Legal basis: our legitimate interest in privacy-friendly audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). With Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control switched on we count nothing.
The app (after launch)
For your account we store your email address, name and the phone number if you give one. For each vehicle you add we store the details you enter: plate, model, mileage, tyre size, and optionally VIN and engine data. Due dates (inspection, service, tyre change) are stored with the vehicle so that we can remind you. Purpose: running your account, bookings and reminders. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for reminders, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Check-in and key register. When a workshop records a handover, it stores mileage, fuel or charge level, notes, damage photos and the signature you give on the phone, together with the time and the workshop. A copy of the protocol is available to you. Key registers store the key number, the holder and the dates. Legal basis: the contract with the workshop and its legitimate interest in documenting the handover (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
AI previews and quote drafts. When you ask for a preview of a wrap, colour or rims, or a workshop asks for a quote draft from damage photos, the photos you upload are sent to external AI services that process them under data processing agreements to create the result you asked for. The result is stored with the booking or the vehicle. Previews are not a quote and not a contract. Legal basis: your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
AI damage check. When you have photos of damage checked, the photos and your optional note are sent to external AI services that process them under data processing agreements. We store neither the photos nor the assessment, only the number of checks you ran this month (for the monthly limit). The assessment is not an expert report. Legal basis: your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Tyre hotel. Photos of stored wheel sets, tread depths and storage places are stored with the vehicle and the workshop. Only you and the workshop see them.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, we send reminders and booking messages through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notifications.
Service providers. Google Cloud and Firebase (Europe) host the data. Payments for bookings and subscriptions run through the payment providers named in the app, which receive only what they need for the payment. Email is sent through our email provider. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep data
Until you delete your account or ask us to delete data. Invoices and records that the law requires us to keep are kept for the legal periods, normally ten years, and are then deleted.
Your rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to privacy@qubin.de. You may also complain to a data protection authority. To delete your account, see Delete account.
